Graze Labs — DNA Testing Services

Graze Labs coordinates DNA testing through an independent laboratory and provides or arranges specimen collection. Availability and collection requirements are confirmed before booking.

Paternity & Maternity

  • Standard Trio Paternity: Tests the mother, child, and alleged father to evaluate biological paternity.
  • Motherless Paternity: Tests the child and alleged father without the mother participating.
  • Maternity: Evaluates whether a tested woman is the biological mother.
  • Combined Paternity and Maternity: Evaluates both relationships and provides separate reports.

Family Relationship Testing

  • Single Grandparentage: Evaluates a possible grandparent–grandchild relationship using one grandparent, the child, and the mother.
  • Grandparentage With Mother: Tests both grandparents, the child, and the mother.
  • Grandparentage Without Mother: Tests both grandparents and the child.
  • Full Siblingship With Common Parent: Evaluates whether two people share both biological parents, including a sample from their common parent.
  • Full Siblingship Without Common Parent: Evaluates a possible full-sibling relationship without a common parent’s sample.
  • Half Siblingship: Evaluates whether two people share one biological parent, with or without common-parent samples.
  • Genetic Reconstruction: Uses the mother, child, and two paternal relatives to help evaluate paternity when the alleged father is unavailable.
  • Avuncular: Evaluates a possible biological aunt/uncle–child relationship.
  • Y-STR Comparison: Compares two or more males for a shared paternal lineage. It generally cannot distinguish close male relatives from the same paternal line.
  • mtDNA Comparison: Compares two or more people for a shared maternal lineage. Your listed service requires cheek-swab samples.
  • Zygosity: Determines whether twins are identical or fraternal.

Individual DNA Profiles

  • STR DNA Profile: Creates an individual profile from selected DNA markers. It is not a health or ancestry report.
  • Y-STR DNA Profile: Creates an individual male paternal-line DNA profile.

Prenatal Testing

  • Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity: Evaluates paternity during pregnancy using the mother’s blood and the alleged father’s cheek swab. Eligibility and collection arrangements must be confirmed.
  • Amniocentesis/CVS Prenatal Paternity: Uses a pregnancy specimen obtained by an appropriate medical provider, together with parental samples. Graze Labs does not perform amniocentesis or CVS.
  • Prenatal Sex Reporting: Reports fetal sex as an available addition to the prenatal paternity report.
  • PeekabooPro: A separate early fetal-sex blood test requiring a blood draw. This is not a paternity test.

Lifestyle & Ancestry

  • Healthy Weight: Provides genetic information related to weight-management, diet, and exercise strategies. Results do not guarantee weight loss.
  • Food and Pet Sensitivity: Provides information about genetic tendencies related to selected irritants. It is not an allergy diagnostic test.
  • GPS Origins: Provides estimates of genetic ancestry and ancestral origins. It does not establish citizenship, tribal enrollment, or a legal family relationship.

Detection & Comparison Services

  • Semen/Sperm Detection: Tests submitted material for evidence of semen. It does not identify a person or prove infidelity.
  • DNA Detection: Evaluates whether DNA can be recovered from submitted material, including fabric. Multiple contributors may be present.
  • DNA Comparison: Compares a recovered DNA profile with a known reference sample. Suitability depends on the amount and quality of DNA recovered.

Additional Services

  • Extended Analysis: Additional analysis for certain cases involving related alleged fathers. Disclose related possible fathers before testing.
  • Additional Tested Party: Adds an eligible child, alleged father, or other participant.
  • Express Testing: Available for eligible trio paternity, motherless paternity, and maternity cases.
  • Prenatal Express Testing: Expedited processing for eligible non-invasive prenatal paternity cases.
  • Additional Prenatal Alleged Father: Available under the laboratory’s simultaneous-collection requirements.
  • Chain-of-Custody Documentation: Identity verification, witnessed collection, and documented specimen handling for legal-use testing.
  • Unusual Samples, Categories A–C: Special handling or analysis of laboratory-approved alternative samples. Acceptance and category must be confirmed before submission.

DNA Testing Policy

Purpose and legal use: Tell us before booking whether testing is for personal information or legal use. Legal testing requires the appropriate identity verification, witnessed collection, and chain of custody from the beginning. Personal testing cannot simply be relabeled as legal testing afterward. Court or agency acceptance is not guaranteed.

Consent and identification: Participants must provide required consent and identification. Testing a minor requires authorization from a legally authorized parent or guardian, or other applicable legal authority. Alternative or third-party samples require review of consent, authority, and laboratory acceptance before submission.

Relationship-test limitations: Some relationship tests provide statistical support rather than a definitive answer. Additional relatives or analysis may be recommended, and inconclusive results are possible. Disclose related alleged fathers and other relevant family relationships.

Prenatal requirements: Blood draws must be performed by appropriately qualified personnel. Pregnancy eligibility, special circumstances, and specimen requirements must be reviewed before collection. Prenatal paternity and fetal-sex tests do not replace prenatal medical care or diagnostic screening.

Lifestyle results: Lifestyle and ancestry reports are informational and do not replace medical advice, allergy evaluation, or treatment.

Detection limitations: Detection or comparison results do not establish when or how material was deposited, whether sexual activity occurred, or whether someone was unfaithful. Mixed, degraded, or insufficient samples may limit results. Geographic restrictions may apply.

Processing and recollection: Estimated laboratory turnaround begins after all required samples and documentation are received and accepted. Shipping, additional analysis, and recollection can extend processing. Any additional charges will be explained before authorization.

Pried service. Results are released only to authorized recipients or as legally required.

Payment: Fees are disclosed before services begin. All payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Payment does not guarantee a desired finding or an agency’s acceptance.

Call (731) 462-8165 to confirm availability, requirements, and pricing.vacy: Samples and necessary information are shared with the testing laboratory to perform the request
